How to Find Pet Related Events in Your Area

I was searching around on the Internet for pet-related events in my area and found that PetFinder.com offers a really cool calendar feature that lists all types of pet-related events in my area. You can search by zip code, city, distance, etc.  and it lists all types of events (adoptions, fund raising, pet owner events, and more). If I were looking to adopt a new pet, their feature is awesome because you get an idea of what types of pets are available and when. This is especially helpful if you are looking for a certain breed, size, age, etc. I also like it because it keeps you up to date on events going on in my area that I can take my own pets to. For example, the event that the City of Allen hosted just last weekend, Doggy Day Out. If you are in the pet industry, you can keep track of fundraising events or volunteer events that you may be interested in getting involved in. I personally like it to inform my clients of what is going on in the pet world in our area. If you've got some time, check it out or save it in your favorites.
